Prohibited Items

What may not be listed, offered, or sold on Worldwatch or distributed through a connected channel, what may be listed only with disclosure, and how to report a listing that breaks the rules.

The following may not be listed, offered, or sold on Worldwatch or distributed through any connected channel. This list forms part of the Acceptable Use Policy and the User Terms. Listings that violate it are removed with a statement of reasons; serious or repeated violations lead to account suspension or termination and, where the law requires, notification of authorities.

1.Absolutely prohibited

  1. Counterfeit and replica watches, including "homage" pieces bearing protected trademarks, counterfeit dials, bezels, movements, or bracelets, and counterfeit packaging or papers.
  2. Stolen goods, items reported stolen or lost, or matched against theft registers. We cooperate with law enforcement and industry databases; listing a stolen watch results in immediate removal and escalation under Art. 18 DSA where appropriate.
  3. Items with removed, altered, or defaced serial numbers, a watch whose case, movement, or papers show tampered identification may not be listed.
  4. Items you have no title to sell, consigned or financed items may be listed only with the consignor's or financier's authority.
  5. Sanctioned goods and counterparties, items or transactions that would breach EU, UN, or applicable national sanctions, including origin-restricted goods.
  6. Counterfeit or fraudulent documentation, forged certificates, service records, extract-from-archives documents, or provenance papers, whether attached to a watch or offered separately.

2.Prohibited without disclosure

The following may be listed only if prominently and accurately disclosed:

  1. Composite watches ("franken-watches"), assembled from parts of multiple watches.
  2. Non-original or aftermarket parts, dials, hands, bezels, bracelets, movements, or cases that are not original to the reference; including aftermarket diamond-setting or other customization.
  3. Refinished or redialed components and polished-beyond-original cases where this materially affects collectability.

3.Restricted materials

  1. Items unlawful for you to sell or ship. You are responsible for the legality of every listing in the jurisdictions where you offer, sell, and ship, including any restrictions on materials your items contain. We act on substantiated notices of illegal listings through Notice & Action.

4.Out of scope for this marketplace

  1. Anything that is not a watch, watch part, or directly watch-related good or accessory.

5.Reporting

Anyone can report a listing they believe violates this page via Notice & Action.
